Description:
There are a number of possible spots along surf highway 45 in Taranaki. Some of them as we have found are impossible to kite at due to the large overhanging cliffs and huge shore dumps making launching very difficult. However there are a few little gems that you could find with a drive around the coast. Do use caution however as many of the spots have big powerful waves and submerged rocks so check them out at low tide before heading out. Check out Opunake for a surf.
