This spot offers both surf and flat water in one when a southerly is blowing. The coastline presents itself nicely to the open ocean and forms some nice medium waves while behind the beach on lake Ferry (lake Onoke) offers perfect flat water riding. A bit of a hike from central Wellington but well worth the trip, head towards Martinborough then turn South till you reach Lake Ferry. Plenty of space for setting up and launching. Kiteable at any tide.
