Location: Kohimarama Beach
Access from: Tamaki Drive
Wind Direction: NE, N, NW
Level: Intermediate to Expert

Description:
If it is too westerly or too busy at St Heliers try here. Not as flat as St Heliers but usually less crowded. Watch out for the rock outcrops in the middle of the beach, visible at low to mid tide but just under the surface at high.
Overhead at high tide which makes landing difficult.
Launch from the Eastern end by the yacht club as it is usually quieter down this end. Do not kite inside the white bouys in front of the toilets in the middle of the beach. This area is designated for swimmers and there is some elderly people who swim there frequently who are more than happy to give you a piece of their mind and would love to see us removed from this beach.
